Cleaning the Tub with Just Water and Thieves

Cleaning the Tub with Just Water and Thieves

As you might be able to tell, I am still on my cleaning frenzy to keep my mind off of the craziness happening around me. My house is looking pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. You may remember a post a few months ago about how I cleaned my tub with purification and lemon after my daughter pooped in it for the first time. Yeah, motherhood is so glorious. Anyway, today I decided to go a different route and try thieves.

I have been using my thieves household cleaner, which is all natural, safe around kids, and cost effective, religiously for every surface in my house. Today I scrubbed down our bathrooms from top to bottom with it. I decided to go the extra mile on our tub and fill it as full as it could be filled with the hottest water possible. I added 8 drops of thieves and sat on the edge, breathing in the unique and delightful smell. I let it sit for about a half hour before draining the tub. My house, hours later, still smells of the thieves, which is awesome. I know that the tub, along with my daughter’s bath toys, are completely clean and that is such an awesome feeling.

I suggest doing this routine monthly. I mean, you should probably be cleaning your bathroom once a week still, but I think filling the tub with the hottest water possible and adding thieves oil monthly is a safe and important additive when it comes to ensuring that your tub is the cleanest it can be. Nobody wants their kids (or husbands) bathing in germs. It kind of defeats the purpose of bathing.

This is also a great technique in hotel bathtubs. Who knows what’s in those things!

This is my personal testimony. Please consult with your physician prior to using any kind of natural remedy or supplement.
